Ethics in Nature and Society (EiNAS) is an environmental and social justice organization committed to restoring healthy relationships between people, nature and the land.
Our Story
EiNAS was founded in response to growing ecological and social challenges affecting communities whose lives and livelihoods are closely connected to the land.
Working alongside smallholder farmers, our Founder witnessed the effects of biodiversity loss, climate change, erratic rainfall, declining tree cover, depleted soils and the disappearance of native species. These challenges contributed to food insecurity, poverty and displacement.
At the same time, communities continued to draw on ancestral knowledge, cultural resilience and long established relationships with nature.
This experience shaped the foundation of EiNAS. It demonstrated the need for an approach that goes beyond conventional environmental interventions by placing ethics, Indigenous knowledge, community leadership and justice at the centre of environmental action.
EiNAS therefore emerged as a platform for reconnecting ethics with ecology, land with livelihoods, and people with purpose.
Who We Are
We believe that a just and thriving society begins with how we treat the Earth and how we relate to one another. Our work brings together ecological restoration, Indigenous knowledge, sustainable agriculture, education, research, advocacy and grassroots action to address the environmental and social challenges facing communities.
Based in Northern Ghana, EiNAS works with communities and partners to promote ethical environmental practices, strengthen resilience and support locally driven solutions that protect biodiversity while improving livelihoods.
